Export Plans as CSV Files

Export Tactics

The Table view of your Plan within Annum displays all Tactics within a specified date range. It can easily be exported and saved as a CSV file to be viewed, sorted, and edited via a spreadsheet program.

Export a CSV file of Tactics:

1. Go to the Table view
2. Set a date range
3. Click CSV Export button on the right side of the page header
4. Find the file in your Downloads folder, the file name is a time stamp

Please note:

• Filters: Channel, Initiative, and Tag Filters are not applied to CSV exports.
• Notes Field: CSVs are plain text files. Any text formatting entered will be removed.
• Images: Images cannot be downloaded or viewed directly within a CSV file. To include a reference to an image in your CSV download, add a Custom Tactic Field that will allow you to include a link out to a specific hosted image for each Tactic. The Custom Tactic Field will appear as a separate field in the details of each Tactic and as a separate column in the Table view. Instructions for adding a Custom Tactic Field can be found in our guide to customizing Channels and Tactic Types near the bottom.
• Format: The columns of the CSV file will match the columns seen in the Table view including Universal Tactic Fields, Tags, Initiatives, and Budget data.

The Table view only shows Tactics. If you wish to see a list of all Initiatives in your Plan, go to Plan Settings in the center top of the application. Select Initiatives from the dropdown menu. Enter the appropriate date range.

Lead and Nested Plan Structure

CSV exports include all Plans visible within the Table view. To adjust what you want to export, toggle Plans off and on with the Plan indicator button in the upper right of the app. Your CSV download will include a column that lists the name of the Plan that the Tactic resides in. Export Initiatives

We currently do not have an automated way to export Initiatives as a CSV file, however here is simple way to create the document yourself.

Create a CSV file of Initiatives:

1. Click on Plan Settings in the center of the upper navigation of the app
2. Select Initiatives in the drop down menu
3. Enter the date range you desire
4. Highlight the Initiatives and their meta data in the table
5. Click on copy in your browser menu
6. Open Excel or another spreadsheet program, click in the upper left cell in the second row and right click to paste
7. Add column titles
8. Save as a CSV file
